La Bracine Brune

L'aspetto era abbastanza invitante, un bel color tonaca di frate scuro, schiuma ocra, cremosa, buona persistenza. Aroma poco pronunciato con caramello, malto tostato e frutta secca. Tutto il resto è da dimenticare. Praticamente bere un bicchiere di aceto. Il lavandino ringrazia. Ratebeer la categorizza come una bière de garde, mente a noi sembrava piuttosto un tentativo fallito di produrre una dubbel d'abbazia. Bottiglia da 33 cl., ABV 7%.

Pours a nice dark brown color with a creamy and lasting off-white head. Caramel, roasted malt and dried fruits in the aroma. Let's forget about all the rest. It's like drinking a glass of winegar. The sink is thirsty and thankful. Looks like a wrong attempt to brew an abbey dubbel. 33 cl. bottle. 7% ABV.

Anosteké

Interessante India Pale Ale francese (e ce ne sono davvero pochine..) prodotta dalla Brasserie du Pays Flamand, fondata nel 2006 da Olivier Duthoit e Mathieu Lesenne. Siamo a Blaringhem, nella regione Nord-Pas-de-Calais, a pochi chilometri dal confine belga e dalla zona – famosa per la coltivazione di luppolo - di Poperinge. Colore oro pallido, velato, schiuma molto ampia, bianca, pannosa e molto persistente. Aroma non molto pronunciato, dove predominano sentori erbacei di luppolo. Corpo e carbonatazione medi. Dopo un breve imbocco di malto, al palato emerge una luppolatura erbacea elegante e delicata che rimane anche nel retrogusto, non molto lungo. Una IPA senz’altro non estrema, semplice, gradevole che nasconde molto bene la sua gradazione alcolica (ABV 8%). Una salutare “boccata” d’amaro nel dolce panorama francese. Promossa. There must be not many IPAs brewed in France. Anosteké (from micro Brasserie du Pays Flamand, not too far away from the Belgian border and the Poperinge area..) pours a pale hazy golden color with a big frothy long lasting white head. On the nose some delicate grassy hops aroma. Body and carbonation are medium. Flavor is malty af first, then followed by a nice bitter grassy hops taste and aftertaste. This is not an extreme IPA, yet it’s a very drinkable pleasant bitter surprise from a country which is used to brew beers on the sweet side. 33 cl., ABV 8%.
