Brewery: Birrificio Via Priula, San Pellegrino Terme, Bergamo, Italy.
Style: American Pale Ale
Appearance: deep golden color with a huge frothy white head. Aroma: citrusy and zesty (grapefruit, lime). Mouthfeel: light body, high carbonation, watery texture. Taste: intense zesty hoppy bitterness (citrus) on a bready malt and cereals backbone. Very dry. The excessive carbonation of this bottle is very disturbing; bitter zesty aftertaste. Overall: an APA brewed with Chinook and Amarillo hops from a new interesting Italian micro craft brewery. Pretty well done besides the fact that we got an over-carbonated bottle which did not help the perception of all the flavors. Anyway, this seems a very promising brewery, and we hope to taste again this beer soon in better conditions. Bottle: 50 cl., 4.9% ABV, BB 18/May/2012, price 4.50 Euro.
