"Vecchia Orsa" ("Old Bear") is a microbrewery located in a small farmhouse in the province of Bologna, established in year 2008. The two headbrewers are Enrico Govoni and Roberto Poppi, producing a range of six top fermented beers. Today we’re tasting a classical Bavarian Hefeweizen which pours a cloudy pale orange color with a small frothy white head. There’s a light acidity on the nose, which delivers banana and cloves. In the sweet taste there are cereals and banana, with a short and refreshing sweet finish. A very light, refreshing and clean hefeweizen with a good taste intensity. Our only complaint is about carbonation: too low.
