Fanø Vestkyst

Fanø Bryghus, sull’omonima isola danese, apre i battenti nel 2009 dimostrando già una notevole maturità produttiva. Vestkyst significa “West Coast” e si tratta di una APA di colore ambrato, velata, forma un piccolo cappello di schiuma bianca, poco fine ma persistente. Il naso è elegante con i tipici sentori agrumati e di frutti tropicali. Ha corpo leggero ed una carbonatazione media. L’ingresso è un po’ acquoso, il malto funge solo da supporto ad un amaro decido, ricco di toni resinosi e vegetali. Molto secca e rinfrescante, con finale amaro ma non aggressivo, erbaceo e resinoso, piacevolmente pepato. Una American Pale Ale semplice e dal gusto pulito, molto snella ed assolutamente beverina. Fanø Vestkyst, aka “West Coast” is obviously a California inspired American Pale Ale from danish Fanø Bryghus. Hazy amber color with a small frothy white head. Elegant citrusy nose with some tropical fruits as well. Light bodied and highly drinkable. Kind of watery at the beginning; hoppy resinous bitterness dominates its taste, the malty backbone is extremely light. Very dry and refreshing, with a smooth bitter resinous finish on a peppery note.
