Brewery: Brouwerij Kerkom, Sint-Truiden, Belgium
Appearance: very dark brown color with some deep red strains. Rocky tanned creamy head. Aroma: licorice, roasted malt, toffee, minerals, dried plums. Mouthfeel: medium-full bodied, medium carbonation, smooth texture. Taste: coffee, licorice and toffee at first. As beer warms up, dried plums, blackcurrant, raisins, chocolate. A sweet but balanced brew which leaves a rich warm fruity alcoholic aftertaste. Overall: a very good and easy to drink Christmans beer, in spite of an 8.3% ABV. Smooth and tasty, this is a winter warmer which we definitely recommend. Bottle: 33 cl., 8.3% ABV, batch BCD, BBE 10/2014, price 4.15 Euro.
