Birrificio del Ducato Chimera

Si presenta con un torbido color tonaca di frate non molto attraente. Schiuma ocra poco generosa, cremosa mediamente persistente. Naso vinoso, un po’ aspro, con sentori di malto tostato, frutta sotto spirito (prugne, uva, ciliegie), note di lievito e terrose. Ha corpo medio, bassa carbonatazione e un gusto che rispecchia sostanzialmente l’aroma: note di vino, un bel sottofondo di frutta sotto alcool (prugne, ciliegie) e malto tostato, caramello per una birra che rimane sostanzialmente dalla parte dolce. Finale secco e leggermente aspro, seguito da un caldo ed avvolgente retrogusto liquoroso, leggermente astringente. Degustata in bottiglia da 33 cl., ABV 8%, 2.50 € direttamente dallo stand del birrificio.

Not very appealing murky dark brown color with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma is of wine, slightly sour, with notes of roasted malt and fruit (plums, cherries, grape), yeast and earth. Medium bodied, low carbonation. Flavor is much like aroma, with wine, a nice background of plums and cherries, roasted malt and caramel. A fairly sweet brew with a slightly sour and dry finish. Warm alcoholic aftertaste, slightly astringent. 33 cl. bottle, 8% ABV.
