Great Divide Fresh Hop Pale Ale

Formato; 65 cl. alc. 6.1%, 55 IBU, lotto 14/10/2010, prezzo 11.80 €.

Great Divide Brewing Company, Denver, Colorado, USA.

This American Pale Ale is brewed using fresh up picked up in September and sold in the market during October of each year. Beautiful golden-copper color with a solid and creamy off-white head. This one has been bottled in October 2010 so obviously aroma isn’t that fresh. Yet there’s an elegant mix with piney, grassy and citrusy (grapefruit) aromas. The texture is oily, medium bodied. There’s a bittersweet taste of citrus jam followed by grassy hoppy bitterness. Hops taste is also not exactly fresh; piney has been turned into a quite bitter vegetable/resinous taste which also lingers in the aftertaste. Nevertheless, this is a tasty and clean APA which is very easily drinkable. 65 cl. bottle, 6.1% ABV, 55 IBUs, batch 14 October 2010, 11.80€
