Brewery: Birrificio Indipendente Elav, Bergamo, Italy.
Appearance: very cloudy amber color with a creamy white head. Aroma: fresh and hoppy: grapefruit, tangerine, orange, a light metallic note. Mouthfeel: light bodied, watery texture, medium carbonation.Taste: sweet and fruity, with syrupy grapefruit and tangerine. There’s grass and bitterness to the end; and a more intense bitter aftertaste with a grapefruit touch. Overall: a “modern” clean and tasty bitter (which means you could even name it APA or IPA..) which is either not very balanced or “rounded” . A rude beer (the label says “punk”, hey!) where hops are predominant and malts are barely there. Not quite a “grapefruit juice”, but we think that some more balance could really improve it and make it a wonderful session beer. Bottle: 33 cl., 4.3% ABV, batch , bb. 01/08/2012, price 3.60 €.
