Milly Rebelle

Altra birra proveniente dalla regione francese della Piccardia, prodotta dalla Brasserie de Milly. Di color rame, velata, forma ampio cappello di schiuma bianca, fine e molto persistente. Naso dolce, con aromi di malto, miele, crosta di pane, canditi. In bocca è molto leggera ed acquosa. Gusto abbastanza poco pronunciato, malto e leggere note erbacee. Finale secco, seguito da un breve retrogusto amaro erbaceo con qualche sgradevole nota di sapone. Una birra davvero mediocre e da dimenticare in fretta. Bottiglia da 75 cl., ABV 5.5% , 2.99 €

Pours a hazy copper color with a big and long lasting off-white head. Sweet nose with malt, some honey, bread and candies. Watery palate and light body. Flavor is very thin, malt and some grassy notes. Dry finish, very short bitter grassy aftertaste with some soap. A very mediocre and forgettable brew. 75 cl. bottle. 5.5% ABV, 2.99 €

Milly Milliacus

Ambrato carico con riflessi color rame, velato. Ampio cappello di schiuma beige chiara, compatta, buona persistenza. Naso liquoroso con note di frutta rossa (ciliegia), caramello ed alcol. Corpo leggero, bassa carbonatazione. Un po’ acquosa al palato, gusto dolciastro di malto tostato, frutta, caramello, per un insieme quasi “liquoroso” invecchiato. Retrogusto abboccato, caldo e liquoroso. Una bière de garde dall’aroma davvero gradevole che però scivola via in bocca troppo velocemente ed esilmente. La bevibilità è buona, ma una buona bière de garde da 7 gradi e dal sapore “invecchiato” dovrebbe avere decisamente più “presenza” ed un corpo più sostenuto. Nonostante questo, rimane una birra molto gradevole. Bottiglia da 37.5 cl.

Hazy deep amber color with a big solid off-white head. Aroma is of barley and malt with red fruits (cherries), some caramel and alcohol. Light body, low carbonation. Kind of watery texture, flavor is of sweet roasted malt, fruits, caramel, a kind of aged liquor. Bittersweet warm and alcoholic aftertaste. A brew with a very nice aroma but with a quite thin body. Very drinkable, but from a biere de garde with 7% ABV with an “aged” character we would expect some more body presence. In spite of this, an enjoyable beer. 37.5 cl.
